Gedeb Lalesa
Смилане: на зърна
Roasted for espresso by Calgary's Monogram Coffee, Lalesa comes from Gedeb, on the southern edge of Ethiopia's Yirgacheffe region, an area known for naturals that are intensely fruity and floral. The Lalesa station belongs to Ephtah Specialty Coffee, an Ethiopian exporter founded and led by women under Wubit Bekele. Ephtah works with producers across the country to raise quality and create more opportunities for women in coffee.
Ripe cherries are carefully sorted and dried whole on covered, greenhouse-style beds. The shade slows drying to around 20–25 days, with the coffee turned and checked throughout, building fruit and sweetness while keeping the cup clean. Monogram roasts it medium for espresso, where its juicy acidity comes alive. Expect peach and lavender with a lively cherry cola finish.
